1. Please do not take any thyroid hormone on the day of the examination, and do not take any biotin supplements for three days prior to the examination (all other medications are permitted). If you have mistakenly taken your thyroid medication or biotin, please still attend your scheduled appointment and inform the doctor or healthcare professional during the check-up. You do not need to fast for the blood test (unless explicitly agreed otherwise).
2. At your first visit, please bring all thyroid test results that were previously obtained elsewhere. Please also bring a list of all medications you take regularly.
3. A referral is not required for an appointment with us. However, if you have a referral for a thyroid check-up, please be sure to bring it with you and hand it in at reception to be scanned.
4. We request payment in cash.
5. Please bring your e-card with you (issued by the Austrian health insurance) if you have one. Since January 1, 2026, private medical practices have been legally required to register patients using their e-card.
6. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
7. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please cancel at least one working day in advance. We kindly ask for your understanding that will charge a cancellation fee of €100 for cancellations made with too little notice or without prior notification.
